7th October: Rockets To Be Blazed!

Been a while, but here's I'm back.
Bets made on www.sportingbet.com.au

Rockets @ Trailblazers +5.0 @ $1.91
Despite the 30 pt loss to what I considered to be the NBA favourites in the Lakers, the Trailblazers have reduced that PF/PA margin to 9.3. In the last 3 seasons ATS, they're 64-55 as an underdog, 10-6 as a home underdog around the +3.5 to +6.0, 44-39 at home (1-0 this season), 65-31 in the seasons 1st half, 25-16 playing back to back, 21-16 .vs. Southwest division (1-0 this season), 17-15 after a division game & 46-36 .vs. team over .500.

They're 1 pt to the better at home on average & 6 pts at the half. Whilst they're FG% is down & they allow their opponents alot of FG%, their 3 pt shooting (42.7%) & FT shooting (77.2%) is above the NBA average thanks to Przybilla, Batum & Blake. Thye also give away less PF's at home (18) while their defense in steals (11) & TO's (6) is above average.

But, they allow too many offensive rebounds to their opponents (38 in total, 5 offensively at home).

Meanwhile, the Rockets suffered a shock home loss to the Celtics on Wednesday, allbeit by 4 pts.

Over the last 3 seasons ATS, they're 48-38 on the road, 34-24 after a non-conference game, 18-12 after an upset loss & 42-35 .vs. team >.500. BUT, they're 0-3 this season as a favourite & 0-2 in November.

But, the Rockets have a better FT% than the Trailblazers (87.8%). They've played once on the road, so it's hard to get a grip on their stats. But, their offensive rebounding is down despite Yao Ming being present.

NCAAFB: TCU @ Utah +1.5 @ $1.91
We're confident that the undefeated Utah can stop the running game of TCU (224.0 yds per game) whilst defending the running game (89.0 yards per game).

ATS over the last 3 seasons, Utah is 4-1 when the line is +3 to -3, 5-2 in November, 9-4 after a conference win, & 5-2 through weeks 10-13. But, the clincher is that 1993, they're 39-19 as an underdog.

As for TCU, they're 22-11 in all games, 14-7 .vs. conference teams, 13-6 after a conference game, 7-2 in November, 13-3 after 2 or more conference wins, 7-2 in weeks 10-13 & 21-8 as favourite.
